In Buddhism, perfection or wholeness is the ground we each stand on, the home we all inhabit, the refuge we can turn to when we’re struggling to understand ourselves or the world. At the same time, social or individual conditioning can obscure our connection to that inherent perfection, causing us to feel estranged from or at odds with ourselves. While this is true for all of us, in our culture women consistently receive messages that, when internalized, prevent us from recognizing and embodying the whole of who we are. They curtail our power and leave us yearning for connection—to ourselves, to one another, to the world.

In this program, we’ll explore a range of Buddhist teachings and practices to help us remember, embody, and express the totality of who we are as women and as human beings. Our sessions will include meditation, reflection, teaching, and discussion, and together we’ll create a circle of practice, aliveness, spontaneity, and wholeness.

*We use an inclusive definition of “woman” and “female” and we welcome trans women, genderqueer women, and non-binary people who are female-identified.
