One of the joys of being at the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies is sharing nourishing meals together. Guests often tell us how much they love the food here and ask for recipes so they can bring that same sense of warmth and community into their own kitchens.
We are delighted to share our Made with Mettā recipe collection, now featuring a growing selection of favorite dishes from our kitchen team. Each month, we add a new recipe, so the collection continues to expand.
From comforting classics like Red Beans and Rice or Pizza, to festive offerings such as Frittata or Lentil Loaf with Red Pepper Sauce, to international favorites like Vegan Gado Gado, Tempeh Tikka Masala, and Vegetable Makhani, there is something for every table. And of course, no collection would be complete without sweet treats—try our Vegan Coconut Cookies or Chocolate Chip Cookies to round out your meal.
We invite you to explore the full recipe collection online, cook for yourself or with loved ones, and enjoy a taste of BCBS wherever you are. May these meals nourish you in body and spirit, and may the metta with which they were created ripple outward into your home and community.
