Welcome to our newest Staff member!

We are very happy to welcome Elli Brule (they/them) to our small, but powerful staff.  Elli will be helping with both residential and online courses, supporting the center in a genuinely grounded way.
A native of Massachusetts, Elli stumbled onto the path after reading Jon Kabat-Zin’s Full Catastrophe Living in order to manage a chronic pain condition. Meditation worked to solve their pain, and so, wondering whether meditation could eliminate all suffering, Elli dove into Buddhism and has been practicing and studying ever since. They spent five months as a monastery resident at the Bhavana Society of West Virginia before joining BCBS, and is excited to be a part of the work begun by the Buddha 2,600 years ago. After studying English and Philosophy at Umass Amherst, Elli worked as a housekeeping supervisor at the Umass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Mass, and will be bringing their organizational abilities to bear as a Program Manager at BCBS.
