Nine Bodies Insight Retreat: Exploring Natural Capacities of Consciousness (Hybrid)

This program is an Insight Meditation practice that employs the “Nine Bodies of Consciousness.” The focus of this practice is on developing mindfulness of the felt sense of embodied experience using consciousness as a meditative object.

The program will start by focusing on the consciousness that arises in the physical body and then, through a series of guided meditations, will explore ever more subtle levels of consciousness. This distinct approach was developed by Phillip Moffitt and emphasizes two 45-60 minute guided meditations each day. The practice utilizes felt sense as a means of staying connected to the present moment, freeing the mind of scattered thinking and supporting the arising of liberating insights.

Note: Recommended Listening – Potential participants are strongly encouraged to listen to Nine Bodies guided meditations prior to the program to experience this style of practice. Guided meditations from a previous Nine Bodies Insight program can be found here.

Program Format: This program will be held in noble silence except for the two daily guided meditations, talks, and teacher-led practice support meetings.
