Assistive Listening in the Dharma Hall

We’re happy to share an exciting accessibility upgrade in the Dharma Hall with the installation of a new assistive listening system from Williams AV.

This new system allows participants to receive the teacher’s voice directly through provided receivers or through their own Bluetooth-enabled hearing aids, earbuds, or headphones. By bringing the sound closer to the listener, it helps reduce the strain of distance, room acoustics, and background noise, supporting more ease and comfort in listening. The system includes multiple receivers and a simple charging station, allowing it to be easily available throughout retreats.

This offering is part of our ongoing commitment to accessibility and inclusion at BCBS, and to caring for the physical spaces that support practice. The teachings of the Dharma are offered for everyone, and this system helps ensure that more members of our community can fully participate.

We’re grateful to the donors whose generosity helps support the conditions that make the teachings more accessible to everyone.
