Vanessa López is an artist, organic intellectual, and engaged Buddhist. She teaches at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) as well as Arts for Learning MD . She began her mindfulness practice staring out a window at the George Washington Bridge. Since then she has crossed, built and burned many bridges. Vanessa contemplates and writes about race, education, the body and art.
