My love for the Dharma has manifested as practice in both the Theravada and Zen traditions. Ordaining as a Soto Zen priest in 2015, I’m also a participant in the 2021-2025 Insight Meditation Center Dharma Teacher Training. Living ten of the last eleven years in temples, monasteries, and centers, I hope my experience of Dharma communities will be of support as we explore the depths of practice and its integration in daily life. Now, I live and practice at Insight Retreat Center, where I serve as co-Managing Director, and while not administering temple business, I love to sit retreats. I keep inspired “on and off the cushion” by staying in touch with the stillness and freedom of silence, and with the enthusiasm of other practitioners.
