Fabio Giommi is a Clinical Psychologist (PhD) and Psychotherapist (PsyD) with 30 years of experience, based in Milano, Italy.
Fabio is the director of Noûs-School of Specialisation (PsyD) in Cognitive-Constructivist and Mindfulness-oriented Psychotherapy (founded in 2010), a 4-year psychotherapy training, where individual and relational (Insight Dialogue) mindfulness practices are central in developing in-depth therapist’s awareness, aimed at expanding real 'presence' in the therapeutic relationship.
Fabio (and his wife Antonella) are Insight Dialogue Retreat (senior) teachers, trained personally by Gregory Kramer over 20 years of practice. They teach ID retreats in Italy and internationally.
The Dharma path of Fabio has grown by meeting multiple lineages. The foundational sources are Insight Meditation (primary teacher Corrado Pensa), and foremost Advaita Vedanta (through the teaching of Raphael).
Fabio is the founder of AIM-Italian Association for Mindfulness, the first established in Italy (2005) for MBPs instructors. He completed training in MBCT (Toronto, 2002) and MBSR (2004-2007, CFM, UMass School of Medicine). He published on instructors’ competences and training standards.
Fabio is the associate editor of the Special Collection on Buddhist psychology, meditation and mindfulness of the Mindfulness Journal.
