Practicing Jhanas & Emptiness: Surprising Similarities, Distinctive Differences

In this dialogue between good friends and colleagues, Leigh Brasington and Heather Sundberg explore what themes jhanic objects of absorption and experiences of emptiness-awareness share in common, how they express themselves differently, and how practicing jhana supports deepening and maturation in emptiness-awareness practice. Drawing from their training with 'out of the box masters' Ayya Khema and Ajahn Jumnien, Leigh and Heather will invite us to open up new possibilities for relating to jhana and emptiness in practice.

** It is recommended, but not required, to listen to Leigh and Heather's 2024 conversation on "The Relationship between Jhanas and Emptiness in Practice" in advance of attending the event, to learn more about the context and lineages which influence their teachings.
