Lee Chew, MS, LCMHC, (Section Faculty) is a psychotherapist in private practice in Salt Lake City, UT. Lee also facilitates mindfulness-based process groups in residential, day treatment, and intensive outpatient levels of care. She created and facilitated a mindfulness based intensive outpatient program for substance dependence and co-occurring diagnosis. Lee’s clinical experience has been with marginalized identity, trauma, substance dependence, and mood disorders. Her current clinical work seeks to help people understand how external systems of oppression become internalized systems of oppression, and with the practical use of mindfulness, ultimately help them find liberation. Lee is a graduate of the Certificate Program in Mindfulness and Psychotherapy. She is a long-time practitioner of mindfulness and has explored many forms of practice over the last 48 years.
