Victory Matsui

Victory Matsui (she/her) is a queer, mixed-race, fifth-generation Japanese American Buddhist writer. For five years, she lived at a Soto Zen training temple where she served as the Head Cook and the Director. Before then, she was an editor at One World / Random House. She now lives with her partner in the Hudson Valley, where she works as a freelance book editor and writer. Her writing has been published in Tricycle Magazine, Apogee Journal, and ESOPUS. She is at work on a novel, and writes a newsletter, "Letters from Victory." Her editing website is vmeditorial.com.
