Registering for a Course

Three-tier course fee structure

Our three-tier structure for course fees is designed to make transparent to you the real costs to BCBS. Course fees have never covered our actual cost of $150 per student per night. We have not increased them in five years. The three-tier system will allow us to continue to offer the current low fee to those who need it.

Our lowest rate, “supported,” is the same as 2013 course fees-–well below costs. “Mid-level” gets closer to costs; “Sustaining” covers costs. Choosing a higher tier helps make courses available to all, regardless of ability to pay. Any amount above “Supported” is considered a tax-deductible gift.

  • To register online, click here.
    • If you can not register online, please call 978-355-2347 ext. 10 to register by phone.
  • Registration and deposit are required to hold your place in a course.
  • Registrations are confirmed once a deposit has been received.
  • For information about Continuing Education credits, please click here.

Cancellation policy

There is a minimum cancellation fee of $50 for all courses more than two nights and $25 for day-longs and weekends.

Further cancellation fees:

  • 50% of the deposit if canceling between six and two weeks prior to the course
  • 100% of the deposit if canceling within the last two weeks.

Teacher Dana

Teaching the Dharma is inherently an act of generosity. The teachers who come to BCBS travel from afar and offer their time, their energy, and their wisdom as a gift to all who choose to come. Teachers are offered a modest honorarium by BCBS to cover their travel and other basic costs, and students are invited (but not required) to help support the continuing efforts of teachers by contributing to their livelihood. A box for Teacher Dana is provided after every program. Please give generously to the teachers.

Scholarships

Scholarships are available

Rooming on Campus

Single rooms are assigned on a first come first serve basis. If there are no single rooms available when you register, a double room will be the only available option below. If you have to register for a double room, you can put in the comments section that you wish to be put on the waiting list for a single room, but that does not guarantee that you will get a single room. If you need more information, please call or email the center.

Staying an Additional Night

You are welcome to stay one night before and/or after a course, as long as space is available. Each additional night costs $40. (We will confirm your selection(s) along with course registration).
