Continuing Education Credits

20150608_120125_1020430

BCBS offers Continuing Education credits for certain courses to psychologists and social workers. Please note we are no longer able to offer CE credits for NBCC. To make these credits available, BCBS must apply for each course with each professional organization.  Please note: there is a fee of $40 for CEs. (You will not be charged this fee unless CEs are given.) As soon as we have more detailed information about specific courses and professions, we will post it as part of the course description on our website.

Psychologists: Some programs are co-sponsored by BCBS and The Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy (IMP). IMP is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists and maintains responsibility for all BCBS programs offering CEs for psychologists.

Social Workers: The Collaborative of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), Boston College, and Simmons College School of Social Work authorize social work continuing education credits for courses, workshops, and educational programs that meet the criteria outlined in 258 CMR of the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Social Workers. BCBS is approved to offer CE credits for social workers for certain courses.

Please note that NASW accreditation does not imply automatic acceptance by all State Boards. Individuals should check with their licensing Board on whether a specific program will be accepted for continuing education purposes.

The approval process to offer CE credits takes some time, and often CE information about a particular course is not available until close to the date of the course. If you have any questions about the CE process as it relates to a specific course you would like to attend, please contact the BCBS Course Manager at contact@buddhistinquiry.org or (978) 355-2347 x10.
