Mindfulness is the essential foundation of Buddhist practice that enables us to cultivate both insight and concentration. In this program, we will practice the four foundations of mindfulness as presented in the Satipatthāna Sutta and taught by Bhikkhu Anālayo. It is offered exclusively to those who have already completed Bhikkhu Anālayo’s Satipaṭṭhāna 9-week Immersive online program through BCBS. Mary Aubry, one of the facilitating teachers for Ven. Analayo’s Satipaṭṭhāna, Mindfulness of Breathing, and Brahmaviharas and Emptiness online programs, will teach the program. She will revisit Ven. Analayo’s meditation instructions and teachings in his book, Satipaṭṭhāna Meditation: A Practice Guide. We will attend in particular to whole-body awareness, the hub of Bhikkhu Anālayo’s Satipaṭṭhāna wheel. We will also explore welcoming, and meditatively working with the hindrances. This is a rare opportunity to deepen your Satipaṭṭhāna practice, the foundation for Bhikkhu Anālayo's other programs, with other experienced practitioners.
Program Format: This program will include dharma talks, guided meditation, silent meditation, walking meditation, and large group discussions.
