This program is a continuation of our 2025 Global Awareness Local Action Initiative (GALA). Learn more here: https://www.buddhistinquiry.org/gala25/.
Given the different ways we are situated in the world, with our own personalities, skills, interests, and resources, what can any one of us do to contribute to a more life-sustaining society? How can our own individual actions, small as they may be, become part of the culture change we need to collectively address climate change? How can our own climate actions be a form of practice? Join climate activist and eco-anxiety expert Heather White to learn about the mental health impacts of climate change, the power of a daily practice of sustainability, and how to discover your unique strengths in service to create a healthier, greener, more just future.
Program Format: This 90-minute program will feature a presentation, small group discussion, and interactive exercises to contemplate the impacts of your practice on spirit, culture, and our shared future.
