We want to thank Ben Engel for his dedication and steadiness through these past four years on staff, two of which were as Center Coordinator, and then our Facilities Manager. Best wishes on your new journey, Ben! And we offer a warm welcome to Brett Ahlstrom, who is stepping in as our new Facilities Manager.
Brett has worked in non-profit operations since 1996. During the period from 2004 to 2013, he was a senior manager at the Insight Meditation Society, managing the kitchens, front office, registration and housekeeping departments respectively. From 2013 to 2020 he operated a transportation service focusing on the meditation and retreat communities. These roles have made him a familiar face to many in the sangha. He’s very happy to be moving into this stewardship role at BCBS. Brett lives nearby with his wife Eowyn Ahlstrom. They both continue to be involved in the meditation community in Barre and elsewhere.
