‘Citta’ is perhaps the single most important reference point in Buddhist practice; it is that which is subject to ignorance and has the potential for liberation. Although the word is often translated as ‘mind’, in practice ‘mind’ falls short of the scope and the intimacy of ‘citta’. In this program, ways of revealing and clearing citta, through meditation, inquiry, Qi Gong, and relational practices will be explored. Those wishing to attend should have completed at least one ten-day meditation retreat. Study discussions will be framed by group meditations at the beginning and end of each day. (Participants will have the opportunity to take eight precepts and abstain from dinner. A simple dinner will be offered to those who do not take the eight precepts.)
